The HES Design House contains rooms for use by the Department of Clothing, Textiles, and Interior Design. The first floor has a workroom, studio, kitchen, library, and classroom while the second floor contains faculty offices.
Originally a dorm for female graduate students, in 1931 the building became the HES Child Development Center. The west wing of the building was created through Head Start funds in 1965 and the ground floor held playrooms for children. The College of Human and Environmental Sciences took over the building in 2005 when a new facility was constructed for the CDRC.
